Love the fox and Passion Pit really brought it. Great stage energy to go along with great crowd vibes. Was also pleasantly surprised by how good Courtship was as the second opener.

About
Ever since the release of their 2008 EP Chunk of Change, Passion Pit’s unique brand of indietronica has appealed to fans of both indie rock and electronic dance music, generating heaps of praise from those bastions of hipster cred otherwise known as music blogs. With the release of sophomore album Gossamer in 2012, the band kept crowds moving with a collection of ambitious and impeccably produced gems like “Take a Walk” and “Constant Conversations,” earning the album a No. 4 position on the Billboard 200. Passion Pit originated as the solo project of frontman Michael Angelakos, who penned the project’s first songs for his girlfriend before enlisting some of his classmates from Berklee College of Music to start a group. The band’s debut full-length Manners (2009) received praise from critics and bloggers for its catchy and danceable songs, including breakthrough single “Sleepyhead” and kaleidoscopic electro hit “The Reeling.” On tour in 2013, Passion Pit has been treating fans to high-octane live performances that perfectly capture the spirit of their sparkling pop anthems.

Passionpit was passionate!
by Janapants on 2018-01-29Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5Awesome show but way too short. They only played for 1.5 hours. They were totally into it and having a great time. I think they only played this long because of the Commodore and bot because they didn't want to keep playing.
Passion of the Pit - Coin - Smiley Face
by Anonymous on 2015-05-06The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5Went to the show with this rock star woman. We both knew Passion Pit but hadn't heard anything from Coin. I'd say we were both impressed with Coin and Passion Pit delivered as expected. The atmosphere was great, everyone was in a positive mood. Music was crisp, we were looking fine. Couldn't really ask for more. Note to self; slow down on the cocktails.

Matt and Kim rocked it as the openers! Passion Pit was great... the sweaty drunk guy who knocked me sideways, not so much.
perfection
by gnossienne on 2013-02-17Métropolis - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5When I think of the night all I can think of are synonyms of amazing. The stage and lighting was beautiful, Passion Pit and Matt & Kim were obviously PHENOMENAL and they started right on the dot! The crowd was also one of the friendliest I've seen, which was definitely a plus. What I also really liked was that coat check at the end was very quick; it's always a downer when you have to wait forever for your coat! I definitely tipped lots for the awesome efficiency. :) I would totally go to this event again; I really hope they come back!

EXCELLENT SHOW!! AWESOME! Loved the first band too they were all on fire!
Not Passion Pit
by newNEWwave on 2013-01-15The Gateway (SAIT) - CalgaryRating: 1 out of 5Just because two guys in Passion Pit show up to spin records, it should not give them the right to use the Passion Pit name for their concert. What a disappointment as this night had nothing to do with Passion Pit or the excellent music they create. As soon as the crowd realized they were not going to actually see Passion Pit they headed for the door. I have never seen anything like it. I am surprised Michael Angelakos is OK with this as it does not put the band in the best light if people have other expectations.
Long LONG wait!
by kellygarrett8 on 2013-01-14The Gateway (SAIT) - CalgaryRating: 1 out of 5Waited almost 3 & 1/2hrs for them to hit the stage. During their set they played 4 or 5 Passion Pit songs. Are very creative DJ's but it wasn't worth all the waiting around.
