Future Islands are a band whose brilliance was always hiding in plain sight. One viral moment might have catapulted them to worldwide recognition, but they were just doing what they always did - pouring their heart and soul into every moment, and channelling art's great power to spread love and hope. It was, quite simply, who they are. Long, hard years on the road, and the sense of constantly traveling away from something, have shaped the band many ways, both spiritually and physically. Always leaving, never arriving, the horizon an impossible destination to be chased but never caught. Future Islands' new album As Long As You Are is out now on 4AD.

Future Islands was absolutely incredible, a show full of energy that I will remember forever!
Amazing show. As promised, the intensity was there from the beginning through the end. A generous 2 hour long display of genius. Great scenography as well, with the Keyboards on top of a box, creating shadows. Samuel Herring is something on a stage. You will not regret it.
Saw them in London, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa this summer-HANDS DOWN THE BEST PERFORMANCES OF MY LIFE. Gerrit is amazing on the keys, William killed it on bass and Mike shone as always on drums. Sam gets all the attention and shoutouts…but this band together is a magical sensation. They have their own sound-love the vibe of every show!!! Love these guys! Heather
Their live performance was breath-taking, Sam made us all dance the full show. What a night!
BEST SHOW EVER. true poetry. True art. True front man. body rolling was to die for - I CRIED AFTER LIGHTHOUSE. and I got punched in the face. Great show guys lol - dilla shirt girl
Future Islands put on an absolutely incredible show. Sam is a freak in the best way, and clearly loves what he does. 10/10 would rock-out again.
Sammy is King!! What a show! Amazing from start to finish. Incredible energy, every song we wanted to hear, seats were fantastic, staff were great. A truly unforgettable night.
The venue was perfect for their performance. The opening act were awesome and Future Islands was bar far the best performance I have seen live. Loved every moment of it.
The band is fantastic and Samuel T Herring is a god damn force of nature.
I've never been to a concert like this. Utterly and completely blown away by the energy and talent. I was just disappointed it was on a Wednesday and had to go to work next day. Can't wait for them to come back!
Future Islands puts on a fantastic show. You can really feel the emotion of Sam Herring - he has high energy, dances all night, and really included the audience in the performance. I was underwhelmed by the visual effects of the stage - which likely is the fault of the venue? The timing of the lighting changes seemed to be off and weren't very dynamic/interesting.
Would recommend seeing Future Islands Play a great show So much energy and they sound amazing
The venue was the perfect size. The lighting and stage effects were beautiful. The energy of the performances was so incredible that I cried. Fantastic audience. Both bands’ music was exceptional. If either of these bands comes near me again I will 100% go and get as many friends to go as possible. The best concert I have been to.
Future Islands are one of the most powerful performers I've seen. Sam seems determined to reach and touch the soul of every member of the audience. The band's diligent commitment to hypnotic and electrifying soundscapes is something to behold. A truly communal, viscerally transporting and (at times) out of body experience.
This was my 2nd time seeing Future Islands at the London Music Hall. I live in Hamilton, so it would have been easier to go Toronto but I love this venue. Sam Herring is one-of-a-kind performer who has to be seen live to be fully appreciated. He took full advantage of this small venue to deliver an intimate performance. The band was awesome too.
Great music, great performance, great venue. So glad live music is back!!!
What a wicked Friday The 13th of May at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver! Samuel T. Herring and his band Gerrit, William and Michael are Future Islands! The crowd was proud and welcomed the Scintillating sound and Sam, the man, in constant, delirious motion across the stage! A true crowd pleaser.
They proved why they are my favourite band! Unreal show. Unreal venue. My date looked amazing. What an awesome night!!
First concert since the pandemic and it didn’t disappoint! I see them every time they’re in town. The most fun I’ve had in a long time.
Blown away by this concert. I had heard good things about this band and I had been wanting to see them live for a while. The performance from the lead singer was one of the best I’ve ever seen. I am hooked and will definitely be seeing Future Islands again.
