About

Collective Soul rose to prominence in the mid-’90s with 1993’s Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid. The album featured the hit single “Shine” and took Collective Soul from college radio to heavy rotation on MTV. By the end of 1995, the band (led by singer-songwriter Ed Roland) had toured with Aerosmith and Van Halen and performed “Shine” in front of thousands of fans at Woodstock ‘94. Their triple-platinum follow-up, Collective Soul (1995), included "December," "The World I Know" and "Where the River Flows," all No. 1 songs on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Collective Soul would continue achieving career milestones well into the 2000s and 2010s, including a duet with Elton John (“Perfect Day”) and nine additional studio albums.

  • Unreal

by CollectiveJoel on 2025-03-17Rating: 5 out of 5

Collective Soul are in 60s or close too...and still bringing it. What a loud awesome concert. Fan interaction, to stories, to the quality and talent. Unreal especially at the age. Blew away the other acts in Halifax

  • Favorite band; not best venue

by Sher71 on 2024-11-19Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

Collective Soul is my #1 favorite band, but the sound and venue lacked "power". I still loved the show and hearing many of their new songs. Have seen them in smaller venues and it was AMAZING. Will continue to see them anytime they are in my area.

  • The Collective

by ConBear on 2024-11-19Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

I Thought the concert itself was great - Collective Soul sounded awesome as usual - it was just too bad Ed wasn't feeling 100% - we all felt his pain. The staff at the venue itself were on the whole very pleasant and professional

  • Great show

by Collective Soul on 2024-11-14Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Second time I have seen Collective Soul at this venue. This band is the real deal. Very energetic, engaging with the audience and always put in just a fantastic show.

  • Great Time at Collective Soul Concert

by El on 2024-11-14Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Wow... That was a great show... It was like a time warp back to the 90s with the band belting out hit after hit. Ed soldiered through back spasms and was very interactive and gracious with the crowd. The guitar solo by Jesse Triplett on Shine was phenomenal. There's something to be said about watching a show in a more cozy environment like the Grey Eagle event center where your seats are so close to the stage... All in all, it was a fantastic evening.

  • Great opening act. Great concert.

Lead vocal sound for Collective Soul was weak. Lead vocal sound for opening act was great. Overall it’s a great venue .

  • Always a Pleasure

A night of fellowship and worship, rocking out to our favorite songs. They sounded great, as always!

  • Collective Soul still rocks! Great venue!

by David L on 2024-11-13Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Phenomenal show! Collective Soul rocked the house and the opening band Jade Elephant was great! Venue is really nice and staff were super friendly and helpful. One minor drawback, I purchased a Silver VIP package and there was some confusion on entry and where to pick up the merch package which also could have been a bit better. However, the seat and show certainly made up for this.

  • Great concert, they still sound amazing!

by Great concert on 2024-11-13Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

The music was awesome, the band sounded great and singing was fantastic. The venue isn't my favorite. Because it is on the reservation there is smoking allowed in the attached casino and the place was full of smoke. The chairs were also uncomfortably close together. It would be nice if they spaced the chairs a little bit. We love to see these guys in a different venue.
