Atlanta Dream History
The Atlanta Dream is a professional women's basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Established in 2008, the team's name pays tribute to Atlanta native Martin Luther King Jr. and his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech. Since its founding, the Dream has left a strong imprint on the league, making nine WNBA Playoff appearances and reaching the WNBA Finals in 2010, 2011 and 2013. The team has been home to standout players such as two-time All-Star and 2023 Rookie of the Year Rhyne Howard, the league's second all-time leading scorer Tina Charles, Allisha Gray, the first ever player to win both the WNBA All-Star Kia skills Challenge and the Starry 3-point Content and other rising stars who continue to shape the franchise's legacy.

Atlanta Dream at Gateway Center Arena
The Gateway Center Arena, home of the Atlanta Dream, is a multipurpose arena located in College Park, Georgia. The 3,500-seat facility began construction in 2018 and has hosted the College Park Skyhawks of the NBA G League since its opening in 2019. The Dream joined in 2021 after previously playing at State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta.

The Atlanta Dream’s 2024 regular season tips off in May at The Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California against the Los Angeles Sparks. One week later, the Dream host a 2023 playoff rematch for their home opener against the Dallas Wings on May 21. The Atlanta Dream close out the regular season at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York against the New York Liberty on September 19. Here’s a list of key games to keep an eye on:
