Sleep Token is an alternative heavy metal band from London, England. Led by masked frontman Vessel, the quintet has remained anonymous since they formed in 2016, with its other members being referred to as II (drums, percussion), III (bass guitar), IV (guitar, backing vocals) and Espera (backing vocals). Notably, all members of the band wear cloaks and obscure their faces on stage, and have only ever given a single press interview in 2017 to the outlet Metal Hammer. Meanwhile, only Vessel and II are credited on Sleep Token’s albums, which include Sundowning (2019), This Place Will Become Your Tomb (2021) and Take Me Back to Eden (2023). In May 2025, Sleep Token will release their fourth album Even in Arcadia, followed by a headlining U.S. tour in the fall. Even in Arcadia is anchored by the single “Emergence,” which became Sleep Token’s first-ever track to debut on the Billboard Hot 100.

Beautiful Oblivion tour
by Cj on 2023-06-10Rating: 5 out of 5Had the pleasure of seeing them live in Toronto at the Opera House on the Beautiful Oblivion tour. I went for Polyphia and Issues, left with a new found love / obsession with Sleep Token. They completely stole the show imo. I never expected to have such a spiritual experience at a concert. They were already doing things that no other band was doing and this was JUST when sundowning was released. Sundowning, TPWBYT and TMBTE are absolute masterpieces, a beautiful trilogy that I am so grateful I am alive to experience. This band has and will release the greatest and most iconic albums in my lifetime. I can’t wait for them to tour in Canada again.
